System may ship with 2pcs of 1GB or 2GB standard memory, Single or Dual Processors at 3GHz to 3.6GHz processor speed depending on model. System ships with either Single-Rank or Dual-Rank with maximum of 8 Ranks. Memory must be purchased and installed in pairs & in sequential order per bank: Bank A, Bank B and then Bank C. Dual-Rank modules must be populated before Single-Rank modules. If Dual-Rank modules are installed in Bank A and Bank B, no additional module may be installed in Bank C. If only banks A and B are populated, bank B is the spare bank (banks A, B, and C are populated, bank C is the spare bank) DIMMs STC3430/1GB, 2GB, & 4GB are Single Rank memory, which can be used in all 6 sockets. STC3750/4GB & 8GB are Dual Rank memory, which can only be used in 4 the FIRST 4 sockets only. FIRMWARE 4.02 or HIGHER MUST BE UPGRADED BEFORE INSTALLING DUAL RANK |
