Data Copy Instructions:

1. Insert a bootable diskette into the A drive of your computer

2. When the system boots to the A prompt (A:\), remove the bootable diskette and insert the diskette labeled "SIMPLE DRIVE" and type LOAD then hit "ENTER". (A:\LOAD) This will install the Parallel Port Drivers.

3. When the system returns to the A prompt (A:\), remove the disk labeled "SIMPLE DRIVE" and insert the disk labeled "E Z Drive". Type EZDRIVE and press "ENTER". Choose "Advanced Options" and then "Copy Entire Partition".

28.8 Communicator Firmware Upgrade

336setup.exe : Update your current Simple Technology 28.8 Modem to run at 33.6KBits/Sec.

V.90 Firmware Upgrade

Note: There are two seperate files, one for all 56K Communicators w/SimpleJack and one for all 56K Communicators w/o SimpleJack. Please be sure to download the correct file.

Download the file to a temporary directory and run the executable to unzip the installation files to C:\V90TEMP. Then, simply follow the instructions in the readme.txt file (included in the zipped file and listed below) to update your modem.

V.90 Update for 56k Communicators with SimpleJack
NOTE: This upgrade is for Win3.x, Win 95, or Win 98 only. It will not work with Windows NT. Please read Readme.txt for SimpleJack modems.

V.90 Update for 56k Communicator without SimpleJack for non-SimpleJack modems.

Download and save the appropriate file to a floppy disk. When installing your new hardware, either manually through the control panel's "Install New Hardware" or automatically when Windows says "New Hardware Found", select the "Have Disk..." option and follow the prompted instructions.
