Installation Notes System supports 266MHz Registered ECC DDR SDRAM 184-Pin Chipkill memory. System x365 supports either eight or 16 DIMMs sockets depending on the model, as listed in Table 3 in the (IBM Eserver xSeries 365 Technical Introduction manual), although models supporting eight DIMMs can be upgraded. Memory must be purchased and installed in matched pairs. NOTE: * Machine may ship with an 8 sockets memory card for a maximum of 16GB or a 16 sockets memory card (IBM #73P9710) for a maximum of 32GB. 2GB option will be available soon. Machine supports Memory ProteXion (w/ 16 sockets only), Memory scrubbing, Memory Mirroring, and Chipkill memory configurations. Please refer to user manual for installation instructions to invoke these configurations.
